Arts Music Supply

Can you help with the dilemma of our wedding reception?
My boyfriend and I are looking for a loft / basement type place to keep the receipt wedding. We are totally in music and art and the typical hall room or anything too expensive is simply not enough. We want the freedom to decorate ourselves, our offer of food and music. I searched and searched and found nothing that matches that. My hypothesis that there are, but because they are not show-boaty not need to advertise more. Is there anyone in leads the Minneapolis / St. Paul area?
First, I admire you for taking the time to try to fine a place to suit you and your interests rather than resorting to stupid places typical wedding. I suggest you contact the galleries, Artsy shops, cafes, games, shopping nature, sports stadiums or (small) concert hall, to see if they will consider renting to you. Or even look at old warehouses or empty Your town. I know who married someone in your office building this year! Just go around and looking for places that intrigue you, and can be a photograph of her wedding and reception to be in. If the place is not usually reserved for events that will probably have to carry everything, including tables and chairs. Make sure you also check whether the space will allow you to comply with alcohol, because if you intend to drink at your wedding, it could be a deal breaker if they say no alcohol! Me too looked around different types of sites. At first the idea of a community center or theater veteran or everything seemed so boring to me. But then I began to realize they are sites that include tables and chairs and in general the rent of between $ 150 and $ 450 for all day! And you can decorate, bring their own food, alcohol, etc. Some were really nice, located on the dock or in nature. I could not believe that people rent a hotel annoyed when some of these low cost options available. Also I looked at the closed wards: "Shelter" (actually just a normal room / cabin) in the parks. Some of these places so beautiful and SUPER BARATO. Unfortunately, approximately 50% had no alcohol. Other completed very quickly. Basically, stay away from hotels and restaurants if you want to DIY. And not afraid to call certain places and say, "Can I pay to rent your space for my wedding? Even if it never happened by holding events before. Never know if they say yes!
